My sister-in-law teaches collage. You'll hear me talk about her a lot in this blog. She's encouraged me for a long time to take this on. After visiting her this year and reading the book written about her, her teaching partner and some of her students, I decided to dive in.
I've set up a space in my house and the magazines and ephemera are mounting. I'll share my journey along the way. Hopefully, between all of us, you'll give it a try too.
Well, Paper Girl, it looks like you're really serious about this! I warn you, piles of magazines & ephemera are dangerous signs of a serious addiction! (Just kidding....but there's probably no turning back once you get the collage bug.) I am honored & thrilled that I had a part in inspiring/encouraging you to try this medium. I haven't tired of it in 30 years! I love the way you're experimenting with different approaches. It's so good to have a space in your house set aside for collage, so you can leave your work out & have several going at a time. Happy trails! xoxox Barbara
